Search Bar

The Search bar provides a powerful way for users to search the forum and also quickly navigate to forums and new topics.

• A – Click this to open a sub-panel which allows you to perform a customised search of your entire Forum (see below).
• B – Use this drop down menu to quickly access new posts and recent topics. Any unread posts will be highlighted in Red.
• C – Use this drop down menu to quickly navigate to a specific Forum by simply selecting it from the list.

The main search function of the Search Bar is accessed by clicking the Search button which will open the search panel as seen in the screenshot below.

• A – Search box, users type the search phrase in here, wild-cards can be added such as a * to match and number of characters and % to match exactly one character.
• B – Use these check boxed to configure what Forums are to be searched. Either the current Forum or all Forums.
• C – Advanced search options – You can match any word, all words as well as phrases.
• D – Advanced search options – Sets what aspects of the Forum you want to search. Options are either, Posts And Topic Titles, Post only, Topic Titles Only, Tags Only.
• E – Topic Status Search, only appears in the Forum View and will only show topics in the current forum. It will list all the topics flagged with the selected status.
• F – Lists all the Topics your have posted in, or the topics you have started. Can be set to search the current Forum, or all Forums.
