Admin Bar

The Admin bar is an optional component of the forum that can be enabled in the Your Admin Options panel. It is useful for keeping track of new posts, especially if they require approval. The Admin Bar consists of:

  • A – New Posts, shows the number of new posts to your forum that you have unread. Clicking this will open a sub-panel (see below).
  • B – Awaiting Approval, shows the number of posts awaiting moderator approval. Clicking this will open a sub panel (see below).
  • C – Manage, clicking this opens a pop up menu with shortcuts to the Forum Administration pages.

As mention earlier, clicking on New Posts or Awaiting Approval will open a sub-panel. This gives you a chance to moderate posts, reply to posts and other functions that will save you time.

  • A – Open, click this to open another sub-panel that will display the full message as seen in the screenshot below.
  • B – The Topics title and other details.
  • C – The Post body, shows the member name, their status as well as the actual content of their post.
  • D – Mark This Post as Read and go to Topic, clicking this will take you to the topic so you can see other messages.
  • E – Mark This Post as Read and Close, does what it says.
  • F – Mark This Post as Read and Quick Reply, will open another sub-panel allowing you to reply to the message without having to visit the Topic.
  • G – Delete this Post, a moderation tool to remove the post from the forum.
